Joshua Boone

Dallas Winston

Joshua Boone can currently be seen starring as the lead of Netflix’s A Jazzman’s Blues, written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry, which premiered worldwide at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film garnered Boone two 2023 NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Actor in A Motion Picture and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance in a Motion Picture.

Boone recently wrapped filming on Fleeing, starring opposite André Holland, Nicole Beharie, and DeWanda Wise, and it was recently announced that he will soon begin production on the Morgan Freeman-produced feature film, Last Meals, starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Boyd Holdbrook, and David Strathairn. He previously starred in Premature for director Rashaad Ernesto Green opposite Zora Howard and can also be seen in indie release Wheels for writer/director Paul Starkman. In 2018, he completed a guest star role on Seven Seconds for Netflix.

Boone was recently seen on stage at MTC in Dominique Morisseau’s Tony-nominated Broadway production of Skeleton Crew, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award, starring opposite Phylicia Rashad and Chanté Adams for Tony-winning actor/director Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Boone starred on stage at MCC in All The Natalie Portmans after previously starring in Ivo van Hove’s highly acclaimed Broadway production of Network opposite Bryan Cranston. Additional stage credits include Artney Jackson (Williamstown), Actually (MTC, Williamstown), Mother Courage and Her Children (Classic Stage Company), and Holler If Ya Hear Me (Broadway).

Adam Rapp

Book

Adam Rapp is the author of numerous plays, which include Nocturne (New York Theatre Workshop), Finer Noble Gases (26th Humana Festival), The Metal Children (The Vineyard), and Red Light Winter (Barrow Street Theatre), for which he won Chicago’s Jeff Award for Best New Work, an OBIE, and was named a finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize. The Sound Inside received its world premiere at the 2018 Williamstown Theatre Festival and was named one of The New York Times best plays of 2018. It premiered on Broadway at Studio 54 in the fall of 2019 and went on to be nominated for 6 Tony Awards, including Best Play. His playwriting honors include Boston’s Elliot Norton Award, The Helen Merrill Prize, The 2006 Princess Grace Statue, a Lucille Lortel Playwright’s Fellowship, The Benjamin H. Danks Award, the PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation Award, and a 2021 Arts and Letters Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay & Zach Chance)

Jamestown Revival is an internationally recognized Americana/Roots Rock band from Austin, TX. who describe their music as “Southern & Garfunkel.” Jamestown Revival’s latest release, Young Man, is the band’s first album without electric guitars and their first to be recorded in a studio. With themes like coming of age and settling into an identity, Young Man was produced by Robert Ellis and Josh Block (Leon Bridges, Caamp). The band has performed at iconic music festivals, such as Farm Aid, Coachella, Stagecoach and Lollapalooza, and has performed with the likes of the Zac Brown Band, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ryan Bingham and Willie Nelson. Jamestown Revival has released three critically acclaimed albums (Utah, The Education Of A Wandering Man and San Isabel) and two equally praised EPs (Field Guide To Loneliness, an intimate collection of songs reflecting recent times where human contact was limited more than ever, and Fireside With Louis L’Amour, featuring songs inspired by stories from author Louis L’Amour).

Danya Taymor is a New York based director. She reopened Broadway with Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu’s Pass Over, the first play back after 18 months of darkness on Broadway (New York Times 10 best shows of 2021). AMP featuring Tatiana Kahvegian

Scenography

is a collective founded by Brett J. Banakis and Christine Jones to amplify emerging and underrepresented designers by engaging in equitable collaborations. For this production of The Outsiders, they are thrilled to be designing alongside Tatiana Kahvegian. Kahvegian is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and is of Armenian descent. She recently designed A Christmas Carol (Trinity Repertory), and collaborated with Mimi Lien on the outdoor kinetic public art installation PARADE (The Bentway) and the dance installation Rhythm Bath (Christ Church Neighborhood House). Jones and Banakis have worked on multiple shows together including The Devil Wears Prada, (Chicago), The Cher Show (Broadway), What’s It All About (NYTW, West End), and the Tony and Olivier Award winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (London, NY, Tokyo, Hamburg, Melbourne, Toronto, San Francisco). Banakis, Jones and Kahvegian all received their MFA at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Brian MacDevitt

Lighting Design

The 70 plus shows he designed lighting for on Broadway include The Music Man, Plaza Suite, The Minutes, He received Tony awards for The Book of Mormon, The Coast of Utopia, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, The Pillowman, and Into the Woods. Other awards include an Obie Award for Sustained Excellence, a Bessie Award, and others. For dance, The Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Tere O’Connor Dance, Merce Cunningham, Lar Lubovitch, Nancy Bannon, and many others. His designs for the Metropolitan Opera include The Enchanted Island and Doctor Atomic. Mr. MacDevitt recently directed Between Riverside and Crazy for Studio Theater in DC, Proof for Theater Three in NY and Spring Awakening at The Clarice Smith Center in Maryland. Mr. MacDevitt is a member of the Naked Angels Theater Company.
